Coe Play Park

Coe Play Park is located on upper Queen Anne at 2420 7th Ave W. It is located adjacent to Coe Elementary School.

In their 1903 report, the Olmsted Brothers recommended playgrounds in several locations throughout the city.  On upper Queen Anne they recommended a site “north of McGraw Street and east of Seventh Avenue West,” which “should be secured here as a prudent provision for future necessities, there being so little land on Queen Anne Hill that is near enough to a level to be available for a playground with moderate grading.”

The park today is smaller than what the Olmsteds had recommended, but it provides a diverse playground environment and basketball/four-square court.
