Kerry Park and Viewpoint

Kerry Park and Viewpoint is located in the Queen Anne neighborhood at 211 W Highland Dr, 98119.

Kerry Park consists of three parcels – a locally famous viewing platform on Highland Drive, a play area in the same block, on the lower level on Prospect Street, and an open lawn with border planting (Franklin Place) by the corner of Prospect and 2nd Ave W. The playground area was donated by George Kinnear, to be “a park forever,” in 1904, while the viewpoint was given to the city by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry in 1927.  An existing park in this block is indicated on the Olmsted Brothers’ 1908 map titled “Olmsted System: Parks, Boulevards and Playground of the City of Seattle.”
