Hiawatha Playfield Walking Tour – June 21st

June 21, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Hiawatha Playfield was the first playfield developed in the Seattle park system. John Charles Olmsted designed it in 1910. The original plan featured two wading pools and two “open air gymnasiums” – one for women and girls and one for men and boys.

Come join FSOP as we tour the playfield on June 21st, at 10:00 a.m. We’ll meet at the park entrance near Walnut Ave. SW and SW Forest St. Walking tours usually last about two hours and are free and open to the public.
