Walter Willcox: The Man Behind the Walls

October 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Willcox Wall on Queen Anne is one of its most beloved public landmarks. Its early construction is well documented but the story of its designer, Walter R.B. Willcox, is often shrouded in myth. What inspired him to create this beautiful civic architecture?

Architectural historian Marvin Anderson has researched more than 200 letters held by the family of Walter Willcox. He will share with us the life, career and architectural philosophy of the man behind the walls.

This ONLINE PRESENTATION is sponsored by the Queen Anne Historical Society. Register for this free virtual event at our new website – qahistory.org under “Events.”
